Our sequences are our secret to our, and your succes. You discover something new about them every class. A pose or a pace that at first seemed impossible, is no longer a dream but becomes a goal. Weekly variations offer the perfect balance between practice and progress.
With the changing of the seasons, we are completely changing the sequences. The end of each season is celebrated with a Hero Sequence; a true test of your warrior spirit!
Our sequences are crafted by Marcel van de Vis-Heil from The Functional Yoga Teacher Training and The Fat Yogi’s.Two decades of teaching experience are distilled in to three signature sequences:
Our Vinyasa class is a high paced combination of classic Yoga poses. Great for working up a sweat and improving balance and agility.
With our Power Yoga class we are taking the principles of traditional Yoga and combining them with modern training techniques. The result is a class that will leave you surprised, shaking and smiling.
R.O.M. Yin is the class that everyone needs! By combining mobilization with stretching we are freeing you from tight hips, shoulders and back.
Meet your teachers!
The sequence gives our teachers the freedom to focus on you. To give you options to help you or to challenge you. Absolute beginner or Vinyasa veteran, their challenge is to have you leaving with a smile glued to your face. To us, the atmosphere of members of all levels working hard and having fun together is something that never stops exciting.
A small studio with powerful and playful classes needs a small studio manager who is powerful and playful. Meet Faranak. Always the biggest smile in the room, but don’t be fooled by that: her classes can be rather mean. Her biggest power is her never ending energy for making Heldhaftigs teachers and classes the best in town.
Since coming to Heldhaftig she has grown into a fanatic CrossFitter at our neighbours Vastberaden. This is mainly to support her love for freshly baked cookies. Her other big loves are board sports, buttoned shirts, knitting and Iranian food.
This Utah girl grew up with rock climbing, snowboarding, mountain biking and kayaking. Nowadays she has a University degree in Sports & Excercise Science and is a mother, grandmother, cancer survivor, Coach and a Yoga teacher all rolled into one.
Helping people feel powerful on-, and off the Yogamat is her favorite thing, closely followed by dumb dad jokes and apple with peanutbutter.
As a former dancer Berend knows the magic of the marriage between music and movement. In his classes he lets the sequence and the soundtrack come together in perfect timing. His childhood career as a contortionist (slangenmens) shines through in his signature class: Hero Hour.
As a Yoga teacher he loves to mix correcting poses, kicking your ass and having fun.
Watching you perform surprising feats on the yoga mat is more satisfying to him then showbizz ever was.
Curiosity did not only lead her to a bachelor in Biomedical science, but also to a 200 hour Vinyasa Teacher Training. She went in to become better at Yoga herself, she came out inspired to share the joy of it with others. Armed with a big smile and a love for movement she has been teaching ever since. Being half-italian she has more than enough passion to share between being a kick ass yoga teacher and being an avid kickboxer. Ush!
Tess is a teacher on a mission. She wants you to feel the power of bringing awareness to your breath and the joy of being playful like a child. Her goal is reached when you leave feeling better then you came. This is exactly what she found in Yoga when a shoulder injury forced her to stop pursuing her swimming career.
Being both Swedish and a coffee lover it seems only logical that her other job is barista at Scandinavian Embassy. Caffeine and Yoga give her the energy to fill the rest of her days with reading, hiking, diving, surfing and being a space nerd and plant mom.
